What You Can Do For A Child

August 12, 2008 by Tyler Hartle

Playing your part – What you can do for children

  • Show and tell children that they are important to you and that you care about how they feel.
  • Understand and respect children’s vulnerabilities as well as their abilities.
  • Appreciate the insights of children. They understand more than you think.
  • Try to understand the seriousness and consequences of child abuse.
  • Be someone special for a child to turn to. Be there to listen.
  • Trust your judgement. Don’t keep it to yourself – do something if you are worried about a child.

I found your website through Mr. Osmond’s appearance on Hannity tonight. I think it is wonderful what you and Mr. Hartle are doing.

My son was the victim of a violent sexual predator along with 3 other boys.
I wrote a daily diary and put my words into a book that I had published in hopes that it might give one person the strength and courage to get through this type of tradgey.

If you or someone you know has been a victim you need to stand up, stand up and fight, don’t give up. I did and after over two years of fighting for justice this violent sexual predator was convicted and sentenced to 16 years in prison.

I work in Hollywood at a major studio. And being in a very “liberal” town, conservatives kind of have to hide their conservatism. I’m sure you understand. But sometimes a few of us “non-liberals” sneak into an edit bay and watch “Hannity”. Last night, we did just that and I have to say we were all impressed by you. We especially liked how you answered the last question that Hannity asked. While the other two guests sugar- coated and answered evasively, you said (and I’m paraphrasing) that families need to hold on tight because were going to get hit.

You seemed to be the only one on the panel that answered straight and honestly. And I and my co-workers just wanted to say thank you! So, thank you from a bunch of conservatives hiding out in Hollywood! Have a good one!

P.S. You should go on Hannity more often!

I thank God for this inspirational website, this will help those of us out there working the cause everyday grounded and give us the courage to keep going mile after mile and never giving up the fight for a child’s life, for they are our most precious gifts from God, yet the most forgotten in some eyes, my eyes are open wider than ever before. I will know that my God will provide and I will be the voice for these sweet children for as long as I shall live.
